A woman has sent US$1,000 to a restaurant she used to work at as an apology for stealing - even though she left the company over 20 years ago.

The anonymous woman used to work as a waitress at the El Charro restaurant in Arizona during the '90s and recently sent in the hefty sum along with a letter of apology admitting she used to "forget" to ring in some drinks and pocket the cash.

The note - which was posted on Facebook - read: "One of the waiters I worked with had encouraged me to 'forget' to ring in a few drinks a shift and pocket the cash. And for some stupid reason, I did it. I grew up in the church, I knew better. I hadn't stolen a dime before then, nor have I since. Thankfully, I was a terrible waitress and you all fired me before it could amount to more than a few hundred dollars total."

Despite the number of years that had passed, the former waitress still felt "great remorse" and asked the family-run business to accept her apology along with "money as a repayment plus 20 years of interest".

Nutella is hiring chocolate lovers to test out its product as a part-time job.

The employees would be known as sensory judges and would be in charge of trying cocoa, hazelnuts and other ingredients used to make the delicious sweet spread.

The company does not want trained professionals tasting its product and has stated that the only requirements are the ability to use a computer and not having a nut allergy.

An advert appeared on Openjobmetis seeking out potential applicants. However, the role is set in a small town in Italy called Alba.

Successful applicants will be put on a three-month course to improve their communication skills and learn about their senses.

The position would mean working for four hours across two days, so tasters can hold down a full time job at the same time.
