Mayor says no to robot brothel

A robot brothel is "not wanted in the city of Houston", according to the local mayor.

The opening of a so-called love brothel by KinkySdollS which is owned by mastermind Yuval Gavriel, who already runs one brothel in Canada has been pushed back by Houston's Mayor Sylvester Turner, who says it's "not the sort of business" he wants in the city.

The Toronto-based KinkySdollS offers incredibly lifelike silicon dolls which punters are able to buy or rent for up to a full hour.

Turner said: "It's not the sort of business that we advertise for, or we seek to attract. Or quite frankly, from my point of view, the sort of business that I want in the city of Houston. I'm not trying to be the moral police, but I am charged with the health and safety of the people in our city."

Turtle mobile again with wheelchair

An injured turtle has been helped back on his feet with a "customised wheelchair".

The video that featured an injured wild Eastern box turtle, who has been kitted out with its very own Lego wheelchair at the Maryland Zoo, has gone viral with fans praising the toy contraption.

A team of dedicated vets operated on the turtle who was found abandoned in a local park with multiple fractures on "the bottom part of his shell" using surgical wire and metal bone plates to help repair his damaged exterior.

Dr Ellen Bronson, senior director of animal health, conservation, and research at the Zoo, said: "Because of the unique placement of the fractures, we faced a difficult challenge with maintaining the turtle's mobility while allowing him to heal properly. The lucky turtle received a custom-made Lego brick wheelchair, which allowed his shell to be kept off the floor and maintain his mobility.

Veterinary student at the zoo, Garrett Fraess, said: "They don't make turtle-sized wheelchairs. So, we drew some sketches of a customised wheelchair and I sent them to a friend who is a Lego enthusiast. The sketches proved to be a success and the turtle received his very own multicoloured Lego brick wheelchair just a few weeks after surgery. The turtle is roughly the size of a grapefruit. The small Lego frame surrounds his shell and sits on four Lego wheels."
