Christmas can be merry for single people
It's the most wonderful time of the year ... is it really? December has started, and the evidence of the Christmas season the decorations, Christmas sales, toys and music is showing up everywhere.
Another thing that seems to pop up during December is love. For some reason, there are happy couples everywhere, and it seems like all the weddings are happening. For single people, this is very frustrating because Christmas makes the singleness feel ever lonelier.
So, single people of Jamaica, cheer up, I am here to help.
Here are some things you can do to reduce the anguish you typically feel this time of the year.
Get dressed up
Christmas time is the perfect opportunity to get your pretty on. Buy some new clothes, get a new haircut, and change up your style. Do everything you can to feel your most confident so you can step into all the Christmas parties in style.
Have a Christmas 'parrie'
Find a single friend, and go to Christmas events together. Your parrie will be great company, and you will feel less lonely if you have someone to share the experiences with. You can also be each other's pixie, so you will be guaranteed a present for Christmas.
Spending the holidays alone locked up at home can end up doing more harm than good, so try to get out of the house and be around some fun people. If you don't want to go out, feel free to invite some friends over and do something fun, like a games night instead.
Do something different
We are typically very comfortable in our routines, and sometimes that prevents us from expanding and meeting new people. So try something new. Go to a party you never attended, start a new gym, join a new club, just do something different. This is a great way to expand your circle, and who knows, you just might make a love connection.
For many persons, being single is not a first choice, especially not during the holidays, but it can be fun if you are open. Christmas is a great time to have fun with family, but it can also be very lonely for the person who lives alone or is away from their love ones. So get creative and you can make it work. Get out and have yourself a merry little Christmas.
