J Capri's wake and funeral service to be streamed live online

Fans of the late dancehall rising star J Capri will have a chance to experience the two major events to celebrate her life, by viewing the celebrations live online.

 

The Star Online has partnered with Digicel and Kariblink Digital to provide the free live stream of  the "Celebration of Life " wake and funeral for J Capri.

 

The live streams for both events will be available at go-jamaica.com/jcapri.

 

Kenneth Phillips, J Capri's father told The STAR that he is thankful that both events will be streamed, as it will give fans all over the world, the chance to celebrate his daughter's life.

 

"I know she had legions of fans abroad. I know she is smiling and that she is pleased about this," Phillips said as he told The STAR that he didn't hesitate when he was asked to facilitate live streaming of both events.

 

"I had no idea how much she was loved until this happened. To the fans and followers, we thank them and we are appreciative of the outpouring of love the family has received through this ordeal," Phillips stated.

 

The wake, which will be held on Saturday December 12 at Little Copa in Bull Bay, St. Thomas, will feature performances by dancehall acts such as:

 

Sean Paul, Jahmiel, Charly Blacks, Aidonia, Chi Ching Ching and Popcaan.

 

Boom Boom, DJ Liquid and DJ Smurf are also scheduled to provide music for the fans at the wake on Saturday.

 

J Capri's funeral service is set for Monday December 14, at the UWI Chapel in St. Andrew.

 

The service is scheduled to get underway at 10:00 a.m.
