Producer happy with progress of Skillibeng single

After initial positive feedback, California-based producer Minto Play Da Riddim is expecting even greater things for the single Sloppy, which he produced for Skillibeng.

Since its release, the song has taken the airwaves by storm, especially with the #sloppychallenge going viral on social media.

"The feedback from Sloppy has been sublime and outstanding, as the females are going crazy with the sloppy challenge that has been going on and the song racking up views on his YouTube Vevo channel. Everyone talking about the song," the producer said.

Directed by KD Visuals and shot in Jamaica, the single's official music video has amassed more than 500,000 views since its release.

"Skillibeng and his team came up with the idea for the song," said Minto Play Da Riddim. "The chemistry working with Skilli is so easy, I know the type of beats he likes and melodies to use so that he can deliver."

This is not the first collaboration with the producer and the rising dancehall star as they previously worked together on the single Run, for which an accompanying music video is currently in the works.

"Right now Skillibeng is the face of dancehall, so it was only right to work with him again," the producer stated. He also said that more collaborative projects are planned for the near future.

Originally from St Mary, Minto Play Da Riddim is no stranger to hits having worked with a host of artistes such as Chi Ching Ching, Munga Honorable and Jay-5Flow over the past eight years. One of his latest productions is 2025 with dancehall artiste Charly Black.
