In a scintillating display of vibrant energy, dancehall legend Yellowman electrified the stage at Rebel Salute with an infectious performance that thrilled patrons with his lively presence.

Taking centre stage at the Plantation Cove, St Ann venue early Sunday morning, the Zungguzungguguzungguzeng hitmaker treated the audience to a show-stopping performance. In fact, the 68-year-old artiste traversed the stage, executing high knees and flexing his arms without missing a beat on the rhythm of the songs he passionately performed. The excitement among the crowd was palpable as they sang along with Yellowman as he performed some of his chart-topping hits.

When asked about his high-energy show, he confidently declared, "Too much energy, but mi cyaa tired."

Revealing the secret to his enduring vigour, he shared that he starts his day with a vigorous run at 4:30 in the mornings.

Tony Rebel, the festival's host, showered praise on Yellowman for his dynamic performance.

"The man's energy nuff," said Rebel, highlighting the artiste's impressive stage presence.

He praised Yellowman for consistently delivering performances that deeply resonate with the audience each time he graces the stage.

Yellowman, whose given name is Winston Foster, shares birthday -- January 15 -- with Tony Rebel. Expressing a sense of familial connection, Rebel stated, "When you grow up and somebody is famous, and you realise that you and them share the same birthday, you feel they are family, or like we are connected."

Rebel pointed out that January 15 is also the birthday of Sister Carol, Ilaweh, and Martin Luther King.

Meanwhile, having delivered a massive performance at Rebel Salute, Yellowman is gearing up for his West Coast tour. He spoke to THE STAR about recent performances in Texas, Atlanta, Chicago, and Boston, emphasising the consistent energy he brings to keep audiences engaged.

"Mi bring the same energy across the board," he said.
