Up-and-coming producer drops first rhythm for 2025

Rising dancehall producer Lebert 'PiNK MONKEY' Henry of PiNK MONKEY Records (PMR) has officially released his first rhythm project of 2025, titled 'Nuh Response'.

With a line-up of fresh and fiery talent, the rhythm features tracks from Fixaveli, RojaeMc, Barbie J, Jay A, and Trella V. Inspired by his mentor Rvssian and grounded in a vision of revitalising feel-good music, Henry crafted the rhythm as a vibrant departure from the darker, chopping-heavy wave currently dominating the scene.

"This is about bringing back the bounce, the fun, and the creativity," said Henry. "I wanted to create something people could move to and feel good listening to."

The name of the rhythm pays homage to Fixaveli, who recorded the first track and helped spark the project's momentum. Another standout track is Intoxicated by RojaeMc, which is getting good radio rotation on stations in Jamaica, London and Canada where the artiste is based. Other tracks on the rhythm are Deserve More by Barbie J, and a dual delivery from Jay A with Stop Watch Mi and 100 Killas.

Henry emphasised giving each artiste full creative control, creating a collaborative energy that shines across the project.

"It's all about connection--can the artiste connect with the listener? Can their vibe mesh with the riddim? That's what I look for," he said.

The project took four months from concept to release.
