El Benzo scores with ‘Dial Up’

Dancehall rapper El Benzo is overjoyed at the early feedback to his single, ' Dial Up'.

"The feedback has been fantastic. The song is getting airplay in Costa Rica, Panama, and Germany. The song is also popping up on all the mixtapes, it's a great look, " said the artiste whose given name is Lorenzo Gayle. The single was also supported by a video which has racked up 34,000 views since its release. The single was released on all digital platforms in early April. El Benzo has had a rough couple of months as he was briefly detained by cops on a wounding charge.

"They (unscrupulous persons) hacked my Instagram page, [and] I got into some minor scrapes with the law, but those things are behind me. I am firmly focused on a major push for the summer with Dial Up and another song, My Zone," he said. He plans to release an EP later this year and producers have started to send beats his way.

"My future plans are to never stop. Every day I'm thinking of ways to become a better artiste and embrace my purpose. I am going to keep dropping these bangers," he said.
