Alkaline gets his rum

Dancehall star Alkaline is getting his flowers in rum form. Ahead of the New Rules 2025 Jamaica staging, Rum-Bar Rum has teamed up with New Era Productions to launch a limited-edition bottle paying tribute to the Vendetta Boss and the cultural movement he continues to fuel.

Set to hit shelves this Friday, the release coincides with the highly anticipated event slated for July 5, 2025, at the Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium.

"This exclusive release embodies Jamaica's vibrant spirit, reflecting the island's rich heritage and culture and how both brands continue to capture, energise, and strengthen the space," said Tamika West, marketing manager for Rum-Bar Rum.

Fresh off a sold-out appearance at Sandz in Florida, Alkaline is showing no signs of slowing down. The Canada staging of New Rules is already heating up, with over 80 per cent of tickets sold three weeks in advance.

All eyes are now on Jamaica as the countdown begins for the New Rules show in Trelawny.
