Two men have been charged in relation to the attack on former Spanish Town Mayor, Dr Raymoth Notice.

Head of the Area Five police, Assistant Commissioner of Police Derrick Knight, says the men were charged yesterday with robbery with aggravation, wounding with intent and illegal possession of a firearm.

ACP Knight says the men's names are being withheld at this time as investigations are ongoing.

He says there is a possibility that additional charges may be laid against them.

According to ACP Knight, the probe is progressing smoothly and investigators continue to make progress.

Notice was shot and injured at his home near Bog Walk, St Catherine on December 21.

The former Spanish Town mayor was in his yard washing his car when two gunmen approached him and demanded money.

When their demands were not met, the men reportedly opened fire, hitting the well-known medical doctor several times.
