One man dead, another injured at bar
Patrons hanging out at a bar in Race Track, Clarendon, were sent scampering for cover Sunday night as several explosions rang out amid the loud music at the gathering.
When the music subsided, two men were discovered suffering from gunshot wounds.
It was later revealed that Oral Grant, a 38-year-old taxi operator who is a resident of the community, died after he was shot several times in the upper body.
It is reported that Grant was playing on a sound system when three armed men entered and opened fire, hitting him.
The injured man, a 31-year-old labourer from a nearby community, was taken to hospital where he underwent treatment.
This latest incident brings to 36 the number of murders recorded in Clarendon since the start of the year.
