Toddler injured in accident
A three-year-old boy was among four persons rushed to hospital following a motor-vehicle accident along Bryan's Bay main road, Port Antonio, on Monday.
According to the Port Antonio police, shortly after 8:20 .a.m. a Toyota Probox, being operated as a taxi, was travelling east towards Port Antonio when it stopped along the Bryan's Bay main road to pick up a passenger.
The police said a Honda Civic motor car, reportedly travelling at a high speed, slammed into the back of the taxi, injuring four people aboard.
The four passengers, including the three-year-old boy, were rushed to the Port Antonio Hospital where they were treated and release.
It is the fifth motor vehicle crash to have taken place in the parish capital since the start of May, raising concerns among commuters, who are now calling on the police to intervene and monitor persons involved in drag racing and reckless driving.
