FLOW reaches 1 million subscribers
Telecommunications firm FLOW has announced elaborate plans to celebrate the achievement of its one million mobile subscriber milestone.
An island-wide tour and other surprises will be executed by the company which says that it has in fact surpassed a “critical” mass number for networks of both prepaid and post-paid customers globally.
Garry Sinclair, FLOW’s Managing Director, expressed gratitude to both longstanding customers and several recent additions to the company’s now island-wide 4G network. Sinclair attributes the achievement to several years of intense focus and commitment to delighting customers in a fiercely competitive environment.
When Sinclair took office in 2010, the company had just over 300,000 mobile subscribers.
“We’re now starting to see the fruits of our labour in the mobile sector - a journey that was filled with both thrills and spills,” the MD said. “We now continue on that one clear and simple mission to offer Jamaicans the best value for money on the market. Bar none!”
In thanking FLOW customers for their support, Sinclair also expressed gratitude to his team. “We could not have reached this notable milestone, without the tireless efforts of our dedicated staff – who were always confident that this mission was achievable. I am in awe at the resilience of my colleagues and cannot overstate the huge debt of appreciation owed to them,” he shared.
Describing the planned celebrations, the MD said that FLOW will be ensuring that each mobile customer feels appreciated and proud to be part of the family now “one million strong”.
Today, several FLOW motorcades will traverse the island and converge for a grand public celebration at the Rudolph Elder Park in Morant Bay, St Thomas.
The region’s premier leader in mobile technology and innovation, FLOW (formerly LIME) was the first provider to offer mobile technology and high speed mobile connectivity in Jamaica.
