Look out for counterfeit $1,000 notes - police
September 14, 2016
The Clarendon police are warning business persons and other members of the public to be on the look out for counterfeit $1,000 notes.
It is believed that the notes have been in circulation since last week.
Constable Nanthony Hamilton says three of the notes have since been handed over to him.
The police, in urging the public to be vigilant when conducting monetary transactions, say it is important for persons to pay attention to the notes because criminals are constantly finding ingenious ways to make money.
Hamilton is also encouraging persons, especially small business operators, to invest in money machines which he says will help them to detect counterfeit cash.
