'I am still alive' - Reneto Adams refutes death rumours
Rumours of Reneto Adam's demise are grossly exaggerated. The flamboyant retired crime fighter yesterday declared that he is not only alive and well but that he will be around for a very long time.
Rumours began swirling yesterday that Adams, who attained the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police in the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) had been shot and killed.
Adams told THE STAR that he has been bombarded with phone calls from persons, locally and overseas, wanting to be reassured that he was alive and kicking.
"I am really elated and happy that the people have responded this way, wanting to know if this is the case. I want to reassure them and assure them that they will be seeing my face for a long, long, long, long time," Adams said.
"I will not be allowing anybody to have me killed," said Adams, while adding that his security is always at the highest level.
Since his retirement from the JCF, Adams has been running a private security firm.
"I am going about my lawful business in peace, to the exclusion of any criminal interference," Adams said.
