Wanted man chopped to death
A man who was wanted by the Clarendon police for chopping another man to death three years ago was on Sunday chopped to death.
Alpheus Thompson, 44, a fisherman of Bogue district in Mitchell Town, Clarendon, was chopped after he reportedly attacked the girlfriend of the man who eventually killed him.
Its reported that Thompson and the woman got into a dispute and he attacked her. Her spouse intervened and was also attacked. The spouse then used a machete to inflict several wounds to Thompson's body. He was pronounced dead at hospital.
The man has since turned himself in to the Lionel Town Police who are investigating the incident.
