Hope Bay, Portland:

Two of three men, including a policeman, who were held with a handgun on October 22 were granted bail when they appeared in the Portland Parish Court last Tuesday.

The third man, 27-year-old Ussain Hoilet of a Kingston 19 address, was remanded.

Hoilet, Keino Miller, and Dumar Ducally, a policeman, who is on suspension, were arrested on Sunday, October 22, after a .45 semi-automatic pistol was found in a car that they were travelling in.

In court on Tuesday, Hoilet was ordered remanded and is to appear in the Gun Court of the Circuit Court session on November 11, while Miller and Ducally, who was interdicted in a previous offence, were offered bail in the sum of $250,000 each.

Like Hoilet, the two will also appear in court on November 11. As a condition of their bail, both men were ordered to surrender their travel documents, and they are to report to the Constant Spring police on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
