The community of Mount Peace in Hanover is in mourning after the decomposed body of 20-year-old Petrice Porteous, who has been missing for the past two weeks, was found buried in a shallow grave in Kew Top, near her community last Sunday.

Reports are that Porteous left her home on January 27 to visit her twin sister in Montego Bay. It is said that she left her sibling's home to return to her parish on February 12, but she did not arrive at her destination.

Despite getting assistance from the police to search for her, no one was able to locate her. During the time of Porteous disappearance, friends and loved ones also took to social media to seek information that could help them to locate her and pray for her safe return.

However, things took a turn for the worse when a group of family members and friends from her community saw dogs fighting in nearby bushes.

After closer examination, the police were alerted, and the decomposed remains were found in a shallow grave covered with bushes.

The Hanover police are investigating.
