‘Bad luck mash up mi life’ - Former chef seeks assistance to buy food and medication
Fifteen years ago 53-year-old Winston Antonio Ross, a former resort chef from Spanish Town in St Catherine, was the talk of the town, as his cooking touched the hearts of many persons at his workplace in Toronto, Canada.
Ross was living his dream and had hopes of starting a food business.
Those dreams were shattered when he was injured while helping to carry a speaker box from the basement of his home in Canada.
He told THE WESTERN STAR that on the day of the accident he can clearly remember assisting his friend to carry the speaker box. He slipped, and the box fell on a section of his side and his legs. His spine was injured in the process.
"Mi neva dream seh dis woulda happen to mi. Everything was going to how mi plan it inna mi life, and all of a sudden everything collapse," Ross said.
