67-y-o arrested for touching minor

The Manchester police have arrested and charged a senior citizen with the sexual touching of a six-year-old girl in the parish.

According to police reports, the 67-year-old man, who operates a shop in a community, inappropriately touched the minor after she was dropped off at a location.

The child relayed the incident to an older sibling and the report was later made to the police.

The accused was arrested and placed on an identification parade last Friday, where he was identified and later charged.

The police have confirmed that the accused has appeared in court twice since his arrest. He will be tried in January 2021 and could face up to 15 years in prison if found guilty.
