Frog with padlocked mouth shows up at courthouse

Onlookers at the Spanish Town courthouse in St Catherine were sent into a frenzy earlier today, when a frog with a padlock on its mouth was discovered near the entrance of the court.

"Lawd jeezas, dis ya one seal, smaddy mouth lock up again. Yes a so dem wuk pon witness fi mek dem buss di case!" exclaimed court visitor Julani Brandford.

Meanwhile, several people said that it was a prank to get litigants scared.

During the visit, several police personnel looked at the frog with the large padlock, while others kept far from it.

The appearance of frogs at courthouses with objects in their mouths is not uncommon, with many attributing the occurrence to obeah or witchcraft. 

"I have seen it before, but the wheels of justice keeps turning, so I cannot see it as anything other than a frog with a lock on the mouth," an attorney said.
