‘Bring Back di Love’ - Rajae Danvers leads charge for community healing

Communication strategist Rajae Danvers is determined to foster the positive transformation of communities in Jamaica. His passionate belief is that local communities should be builders of growth, development, and peace, especially in the face of recent distressing events.

Expressing a profound desire for compassion and unity in society, Danvers, alongside businessman Andre Hylton, founded the transformative 'Bring Back di Love' in 2020. The initiative aims to make love a powerful force for positive change.

Danvers, who hails from the crime-affected Maxfield Avenue in St Andrew, champions community renewal with the Bring Back di Love community intervention and children's treat.

"Having lived through many challenges in my community, I felt compelled to do my part. Where better to start than where I am from? I believe I can help others with this type of intervention," he declared.

The impact of the initiative has been striking, fostering increased community engagement and bridging gaps between factions. The recent Bring Back di Love treat witnessed overwhelming resident participation in various events, including a kiddies village, health screenings, interventions, and an awards ceremony.

Danvers highlighted the community's resilience and outlined future plans for the initiative.

"Our vision extends beyond this initial phase of the intervention. We are actively planning future projects and sustainable programmes to ensure that the spirit of the Bring Back di Love endures. This includes ongoing community events, educational initiatives, and partnerships with local organisations to create a lasting impact on the well-being and cohesion of our community."
