66 guns, more than 4,500 rounds of ammo found in barrels at wharf
Personnel from the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) and Jamaica Customs Agency on Monday made a major guns and ammunition find at Kingston Wharves.
It is reported that a total of 66 guns and over 4,500 rounds of ammunition were discovered in two barrels.
The firearms include 50 handguns and 16 rifles.
The discovery was reportedly made about 1:40 p.m. at the Kingston Logistics Centre at Newport West in St Andrew.
A Jamaican, who is also an American citizen, who is believed to be behind the shipment, was arrested on Wednesday during a controlled delivery operation.
