Rifle seized during raid in Kingston Western

The Kingston Western police seized a rifle from a home on Asquith Street, Kingston on Wednesday.

Reports are that between 10:00 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. a team of officers was conducting an operation in the area.

A premises was searched when a e M4 carbine rifle was found concealed in the cellar.

The firearm had one 7.62 round in the chamber.

No one was arrested in relation to the seizure, however, the investigation is ongoing.
