Gun found in bag in Kintyre, construction worker arrested

A court date is being scheduled for 28-year-old Jahleel Rose following the seizure of a gun that was found in his home in Kintyre, Kingston 7 on Friday.

Rose is charged with possession of prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

Reports from the Half-Way-Tree Police are that at 6:20 p.m., police personnel were conducting an operation in the area when Rose's house was searched.

During the search, a Taurus handgun with a magazine affixed containing eleven 9-millimetre rounds of ammunition was reportedly found in a brown bag.

Rose was arrested and subsequently charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
