Police destroy over 1500 pounds of ganja in St Elizabeth

During an operation on Thursday lawmen seized and destroyed over 1500 pounds of ganja, between the hours of 10am and 1:00p.m., in the Northampton district, St Elizabeth.

Reports are that a team from the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID), the ganja was found cut and placed in a field to dry. The lawmen subsequently destroyed the contraband. No arrest was made in relation to the seizure.

The investigation is ongoing.
