Second fugitive recaptured after Constant Spring jailbreak
Police have recaptured a second fugitive from the daring Constant Spring lock-up jailbreak, narrowing the hunt for the seven remaining criminals who escaped on Tuesday.
He has been identified as 19-year-old, Richard Bishop, of an Olympic Way address in St Andrew. He is charged with burglary and larceny.
The police did not release details of his capture.
The police recaptured 45-year-old, David Rhoden of Malvern Avenue in Kingston, shortly after the jailbreak.
The other men still at large are:
- Kemal Kelly, 25-year-old, of Mannings Hill district, St Andrew. He is charged with assault at common law and using a firearm to commit a scheduled offence.
- Talik Chambers, 23-year-old, of a Burlington Avenue address in St Andrew, who is charged with identity theft.
- Brandon Ennis, 26-year-old, of Belvedere, Red Hills, St Andrew, who is charged with possession of prohibited weapon.
- Junior Anthony Barnes, 26-year-old, of Iron river, Stony Hill, St Andrew, who is charged with possession of weapon and ammunition.
- Donque Douglas, 25-year-old, of Oxford Street, Kingston, charge unknown.
- Alonzo Espute, 19-year-old, of Cassava Piece, St Andrew, who is charged with murder (stabbing).
- Fray Mesias, 18-year-old, of Pinto, Stony Hill, St Andrew, who is charged with rape.
The police are reminding members of the public that it is a criminal offence to harbour a fugitive.
The police say the prisoners escaped by cutting their way through a grille and a door made of metal.
The High Command says resources have been deployed islandwide to support the recapture of the men.
