'Butter' charged with attempting to kill man on Marcus Garvey Drive

Tavin Tucker, 31, known as 'Butter', is facing an attempted murder charge after a violent incident which almost killed another man on Marcus Garvey Drive on August 7.

Reports from Hunts Bay police say Tucker and three armed men deliberately knocked a motorcyclist off his bike before confronting him.

The complainant managed to flee onto the road and signalled a nearby police unit.

When police arrived, Tucker lost control of the car during the escape.

During the pursuit, Tucker lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a median. All four men exited the car and fled on foot into the Greenwich Town community.

Tucker turned himself in to the police on August 11.

His court date is being finalised.
