Portmore man to face court for stabbing incident
Twenty-four-year-old labourer Nickolas Bailey, also known as 'Blacks', of Pembroke Hall in St Mary and Port Henderson Road in St Catherine, has been charged with misprision of a felony, robbery with aggravation, and conspiracy following a violent incident in Portmore, St Catherine.
Police reports indicate that on May 19, around 11:45 p.m., Bailey and two accomplices robbed a man of his cellphone. After the robbery, Bailey reportedly stood by while his associates stabbed the victim multiple times, before placing him in the trunk of a car and then drove away. The man was later reported missing by concerned family members, prompting a police investigation.
After a thorough probe, Bailey surrendered to authorities and was charged on September 19. The police said he gave a caution statement in which he admitted to his involvement in the crime.
A court date for Bailey is currently being finalised.
