Student hit while playing on Negril road in intensive care

A 15-year-old student of the Llandilo School of Special Education is now battling for life in intensive care after being hit by a vehicle in Negril, Westmoreland, yesterday afternoon.

A video of the incident, which has been making the rounds on social media, shows the boy running and playing as he dashed repeatedly across the Nonpariel main road, before tragedy struck.

He was rushed to the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Police say investigations are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
