Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has once again lashed out at former club manager Maurizio Sarri after his move to English Premier League outfit.

De Laurentiis, who had several clashes with Sarri during his time on the Napoli bench, a few weeks ago described the coach as one dimensional and again criticised his inability to win any trophies with Napoli.

The owner noted Sarri's aesthetically pleasing style of play but lamented that despite huge investment, he was never able to bring a title to Naples.

"There remains the pleasure of having played well but also the bitterness of not having won anything," de Laurentiis told L'Equipe.

"We gave Sarri everything and in three years we didn't win anything."

Sarri moved to Chelsea just ahead of the start of the English Premier League season after a prolonged stand-off between himself and de Laurentiis, who later hired Carlo Ancelotti as Napoli manager, while Sarri was still contracted to the club.

Sarri has enjoyed life in the Premier League so far, leading Chelsea to wins over Huddersfield (3-0), Arsenal (3-2) and Newcastle (2-1), while receiving praise from players and fans alike for his attacking and possession-heavy approach to the game.

Chelsea will next face Bournemouth on Saturday when they will be looking to continue their 100 per cent start to the season.

Napoli have also won their first two Serie A games under Ancelotti, coming from behind on both occasions to get the better of Lazio and AC Milan.
