History-making BB Coke High School celebrated its irst-ever major schoolboy football title, the ISSA Ben Francis Cup, in grand style on Monday, with supporters coming out for a motorcade in Junction, St Elizabeth.

B.B. Coke held its nerve to win 4-2 on penalties over Clarendon's Garvey Maceo High School on Saturday.

Both teams had played out an eventful 2-2 scoreline in regulation time at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.

Among the celebrating supporters who stood out were Marsha and Carlington Sinclair, married past students of the school.

Their car now boasts stickers saying 'BB Coke High School Ben Francis Cup Champions'.

They joined the motorcade that lasted almost an hour, which went from the school, through communities of Comma Pen, Cheapside, Ballard's Valley, Bull Savannah, and culminated in the square for the grand celebration.

Marsha, who is also a teacher at B.B. Coke, was excited as her husband surprised her with the stickers.

"I didn't know he was going to do that, but when I saw the car I was overjoyed," Marsha said.

"For us, the dedication comes from being past students. We are coming from a B.B. Coke that was not like it is now. It took a long time for the school to build and be where it is now. It's our alma mater. I've been teaching there for seven years, so the dedication and the support come from both of us ... we are giving back to the school that gave us so much. It's a good vibe and feeling after such an accomplishment, as we are making history," she added.

Also celebrating was Patrick Sappleton, CEO of SAP Sports, a UK-based sportswear and gears company.

SAP Sports, which distributed football boots and other sportswear to B.B. Coke and other schools in both the daCosta and Manning Cups, has an outlet in Kingston, Jamaica.

"It is nice to see them win even though they beat my old school Garvey (Maceo). However, I'm a businessman and it was good to see two teams I supply in the finals," said Sappleton, who is a former national player, representing Jamaica at the Under-17 and under-23 levels, the last time being in 1999.

Sappleton is hoping to expand distribution among schools, especially after establishing another outlet in May Pen, Clarendon, soon.

"That's the whole plan, to distribute to every school in the country, not just daCosta Cup, but every level; and it's not only boys, but girls as well."
