Jennifer Lopez didn't dress up for her first date with Alex Rodriguez. The World of Dance judge and the 43-year-old former baseball shortstop have been dating for over a year and the hunk can still remember every detail of the brunette beauty's outfit from their first meeting - even though she didn't put much effort it.

Speaking to Vogue magazine, Jennifer said: "He actually reminded me of this the other day. He goes, 'You had on a beige, camel-coloured turtleneck and these drawstring kind of slacks up to here [pointing to her waist] And drawstring tied, kind of in a business pattern. And some high-heeled boots.' "

Despite their low-key vibe on their first date, Jennifer and Alex - who have been given the affectionate nickname J-Rod by their fans - always seem to make it onto the best dressed lists when they attend glamorous showbiz events together.

She said: "It is funny, we don't coordinate, but we go together well. It matches kind of. I hate prom looks. 'I'm dressed in this and you're dressed in that.' We don't do that."

Although they've only been together just over a year, Alex believes his relationship with the 47-year-old singer works because they understand one another.

He said: "We're in our forties. We're both from New York. We both come from Latino backgrounds. We both have two kids. I think we've both been through a lot and can really appreciate each other - both the good and the challenges."

Sheryl Crow says landing a job as Michael Jackson's backing singer was "absolutely crazy".

The If It Makes You Happy hitmaker was waiting tables in Los Angeles, in between work as a singer for other artists in a studio, and one day she overheard the King of Pop was holding auditions for the role, and ended up getting herself a try-out by crashing the trials.

Looking back on the wild time in an interview with InStyle, she recalled: "My big break came about eight months after I moved to Los Angeles. I was recording a session singing backup, and I overheard some people talking about auditioning for Michael Jackson's tour, so I found out where it was, crashed the audition, and wound up landing the job as one of his backup singers. It was absolutely crazy and one of those meant-to-be moments."

Sheryl - who went on to forge her own incredible music career, selling more than 50 million albums worldwide, after performing as a backing singer for the likes of Tina Turner, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks and Bob Dylan as well as the King of Pop - ended up touring with the late music icon on his Bad World Tour between 1987 and 1989, and regularly performed with Jackson on I Just Can't Stop Loving You'.

The 56-year-old Grammy-winner had been living scrupulously until she landed the big break, but thanks to the 'Thriller' hitmaker she was able to afford more luxuries.

She added: "I was renting a one-room apartment in LA., waiting tables at a jazz club, and living check to check.

"Finally I could afford things! At the time, my car had a boot on it because I illegally parked it so many times and I couldn't pay the tickets. When I landed that gig, I finally could afford to get the boot taken off of my car."

Kelsey Grammer regrets being so career-focused earlier in his life. The 63-year-old actor - who is best known for playing Dr. Frasier Crane on the NBC sitcoms Cheers and Frasier - has admitted he's recently been happier with his working schedule, revealing it's allowed him to spend more quality time with his children.

The veteran star - who has been married four times and has three children, Faith, six, Kelsey, four, and 20-month-old Auden with his wife Kayte - shared: "I'm in a place that I've never been happier work-wise, and I do have time to see my family a lot. What I regretted earlier in my life was that I seemed to be so busy sometimes that suffered.

"Honestly, the beauty of being an older dad is you get a chance to kinda try it again. That's been a real gift."

Recently, it was rumoured that Kelsey is contemplating a reboot of Frasier.

But the actor - who also has children Spencer, 34, Greer, 26, Mason, 16, and Jude, 13, from previous relationships - admitted the speculation was "a little premature".

He told The Guardian newspaper: "It would be quite a breathtaking failure to try to do it and not do it better than the previous show - and I think that's almost impossible.

Khloe Kardashian says becoming a mother has changed her attitude towards fashion. The 34-year-old reality star gave birth to her daughter True on April 12 and Khloe has admitted that she's subsequently been forced to look at clothes in a different way.

She explained: "I think when you're in shape or just really comfortable with your body, you feel like you can put on anything and you're good to go. And then right after a baby you're just like, Oh my gosh'.

"Your stomach, you just need a little bit holding it in, if you want - right after a baby, it's hard to explain, you feel less supported in your stomach area."

Despite this, Khloe insisted she doesn't need to be slim in order to feel confident about herself.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star - who has True with NBA player Tristan Thompson - has insisted she's never worried about what people say about her weight.

She told Marie Claire US magazine: "For me, honestly my confidence has always been from my family. I was always from a very loving and supportive family.

"I am the first one to say that I didn't know that I was chubby or overweight until I got in the public eye. No one in my family ever made me feel that way. And I didn't know."
