Nearly three years after female dancers were videoed beating their private parts with various objects, another dancer appears to have resurrected the trend.

In a video that has surfaced online, a female dancer, wearing a green and yellow bathing suit in the middle of a party, can be seen using a piece of concrete block to mercilessly batter her private area, causing her thighs to turn red.

As she hits herself, pieces of the brick fall off each time it touches her body.

Meanwhile, a selector can be heard encouraging her in the act, while Spice's single Sheet, blasts from the speakers.

"Mash up yuh hole gyal," the selector can be heard saying over the microphone in between his excited screams.

"No baby, yu work wid block factory," he then utters.

THE STAR reported in 2015 that at least one dancer was caught on camera using a concrete block to beat herself 'down there'.

She was chastised by social media users for her 'dance routine'.

Additionally, more than two years ago, dancehall artiste Star Khaliba instructed females to knock their privates on the concrete.

After the single was released, several dancers rushed to try the dance move which accompanied it, in which females would split in an effort hit their vaginas on a hard surface.

"Knock di p#$+y pon di damn concrete," Star Khaliba sang in Pon Di Concrete which was released in May 2016.

One of the local dancers who was known for doing the move was Dancing Rebel.

However, in December 2017, she told THE STAR that she had to stop doing the dance as it was too painful.

But the dancer in this recent video went the extra mile to try to steal the spotlight at the party.

Gynaecologist Sharmaine Mitchell told THE STAR that this trend poses some obvious dangers.

"It causes soft tissue trauma so they can get swelling of the vagina, you can get damage to the urethra, which is the passage that you pass urine from, and if you hit there, it can heal but you can end up with obstruction," she said.

Mitchell is encouraging dancers that they should stop this type of dancing that will hurt them.

"It is absolutely ridiculous and it's something that they should not do," she explained.
