Daniiboo not afraid to ask WHY

Recording artiste and dancer Daniiboo has expressed delight at the overall reception to her new single, WHY.

“The feedback I get from the song is unbelievable. When I was recording the project, I had a feeling that it would do good, but I didn’t know it would be so highly loved by the people. This only inspires me to keep going and continue to believe in myself and my craft,” she said.

The song was produced by international artiste and producer Kunley McCarthy from the famous dancehall group Ward 21. It was officially released in August and is accompanied by a music video that was directed by Icey Jace films and shot on locations around Kingston.

Dancehall is known to be a male-dominated space, with only a few female artistes surviving the test of time. However, Daniiboo thinks her music will set her apart from her peers.

“I am bringing a different style to the industry – being sexy and classy at the same time. I dare to be different,” she said.
