Spanish Town-based reggae trio Rockaz Elements has released its third EP titled ' Sup'm About Reggae'.

The four-track project, which was produced by Berta Records, features the songs My Pain, Twenty Dollars, Believe I and Jamaica World, featuring Chino McGregor. The outfit's previous releases were Great Things and Rebel.

"The entire project was produced by Billboard charting and US-based reggae production label Berta Records, which is best known for the 2017 hit project 'Season Change' rhythm. We were featured on the track No Get Away. And with all our projects, we took a hands-on approach, shaping much of the creative direction with the lyric writing and arrangement," said group member Alex 'I-Talented' Taffe.

The other members of Rockaz Elements are vocalist, drummer and songwriter, Ainsworth Taffe, known as I-Gifted (IG), and Raymond Dawkins, known as Unbroken (UB), vocalist and instrumental arrangements. Each member contributes a distinct element, and together those elements form the core of the band's sound.

Asked if there was a particular message on the EP, Ainsworth Taffe said Sup'm About Reggae conveys that reggae is not just a sound, "but a story of unity, love, struggle, and resilience".

"It's about reminding the world that reggae continues to inspire and uplift across generations. Now more than ever, there is a constant debate about whether reggae is dead, and this project is just a reminder that reggae is alive. Well, it's just often overshadowed by other controversial topics," he explained.

As it relates to the collaboration with McGregor, Alex Taffe explained that the connection came about through mutual connections between them, Chino, and the producer.

"During the writing stage, we shared the idea with Chino, and he immediately connected with the energy and the concept; working with him was a blessing. He brought his talent, professionalism, and respect for reggae's foundation. Chemistry was natural, and the collaboration elevated the project," said Alex

Sup'm About Reggae has been a year in the making.

"We wanted every track to feel purposeful, so the process involved careful writing, recording, and refining. That time allowed us to ensure that the finished product represented who Rockaz Elements is as a group," he said.
