UPDATE: Accused senior JFB official offered bail
Floyd McLean, the senior Jamaica Fire Brigade (JFB) official who was charged for sexually touching a minor, was offered bail in the sum of $400,000 when he appeared in the St. James Parish Court on Thursday.
He is to surrender his travel documents and report every Tuesday and Thursday to the Porus Police Station in Manchester. He is expected to return to court on September 22.
It is alleged that McLean sexually assaulted a 14-year-old who was on summer work at the Montego Bay Fire Department, one of the stations in the west that he heads.
The youngster reported the matter to her family, who alerted the police of the incident.
McLean was taken into custody Tuesday evening and charged on Wednesday, after a visit to his office by a police forensic team.
