THE UWI FC's up and down season was on the up yesterday as they stopped FC Reno 3-1 in the Red Stripe Premier League football competition at the UWI Mona Bowl.

Patrick Browne opened the scoring 15 minutes in for the hosts, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Humble Lion in their new year's opener last week.

Girvan Brown had his second goal in as many games, notching the second goal for UWI in the 40th, before Anthony Grant sealed the victory with a goal in the 72nd.

Albert Facey was Reno's only bright spark, finding the goal in the 88th minute.

Elsewhere, Dwayne Smith's 38th-minute strike handed Cavalier a 1-0 win over Humble Lion at the Effortville Community Centre.

Waterhouse continued to ride the waves of a poor season as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Boys' Town in their game at Barbican Stadium.

Harbour View will play Portmore United in the Monday Night game at Harbour View stadium starting at 8:40 p.m.
