Savage thrills in Belize
Dancehall star Savage delivered a brilliant performance during a show called Soca or Surrender (SOS) at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City, Belize, recently.
He was the only dancehall artiste billed to perform and he brought the essence of dancehall to the stage with a hyped-up performance in front of 3,000 fans.
He got the place in a frenzy with his hit song, Culu Culu, then he paused and told the audience that "mi bring a bed from Jamaica", and two security personnel brought out a large divan and plopped it onstage. The crowd almost lost its mind.
CHANCE TO DANCE
Five girls jumped on the stage for a chance to dance with the entertainer. The security personnel attempted to remove them, but he berated them saying, "ah gal mi work wid".
Then the crowd roared its approval as he took on each one, engaging in rigorous rounds of 'outercourse' in several styles that had the audience in a tizzy.
"I really had a great time, and one patron, marketing personality Tania Aguilera from Belize, actually told me I gave the best performance for the night, so it felt good to represent for dancehall," he said.
Savage's Culu Culu hit single soared to number one on the major dancehall chart in the island. The single has also hit the FIWI Choice top 10 charts, which airs on TVJ, and the Street Mix top 10 charts, which airs on CVM.
Other singles to look out for include Culu Culu Part Two on the High Class rhythm, Clean Skin (Bleaching) and Jiggle Lickle on the Yellow Moon Records label for producer DJ Sunshine.
