Dancehall artiste Immperial Alley Cat has teamed up with United States rapper Maino to remix the single, ' Back It Up'.

Released on July 21, Back it Up he said was written a while back but the song sparked the attention of the rapper who agreed to a remix after hearing the lyrics.

"I had my track already made and my friend played it and the rapper Maino heard it and said the song was fire and he wanted to do a collaboration. So we linked at a studio in New York and the rest is history," Immperial Alley Cat said.

The song was produced by Different People Productions and is directed towards the females.

"It's one of those songs that just make you feel good and let the ladies want to dance and have fun. Our hope is to make the song hit and go viral. Everyone who hears it, especially the females, give it high marks . The style is catchy and the lyrics are authentic and have meaning. It has the potential to be a household track therefore, we are doing what is necessary to make the world get used to it and I believe it is one of the most solid collaborations between a dancehall artiste and a rapper to date," Immperial Alley Cat said.

Maino is a platinum recording hip-hop artiste, radio personality, and community change agent, who hails from Brooklyn, New York. Critics often commend him for his edgy storytelling and honest representation of Brooklyn's street culture. He is best known for his debut hit single titled Hi Hater and All The Above featuring T-Pain which was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Immperial Alley Cat made his recording debut in 1996 and has released numerous tracks during his career, including hits like Girls Tour, Brag and Boast, and A Gal A Say She Hotter.

Currently in promotion mode, Immperial Alley Cat still remains busy in the studio working on an EP as well as his sixth album, titled Dancehall Knowledge.
