Di Unit members in car accident
Members of the popular sound system, Di Unit, are grateful for life after being involved in a serious motor vehicle collision in Sligoville, St Catherine, on Christmas Day.
Key member of the group, Tall Boss, remains hospitalised after receiving three broken ribs and a punctured right lung.
However, doctors say he is in a stable condition, and is expected to be released in a week and a half.
The other occupants of the vehicle have been treated and released.
Little Rich, a member, told THE STAR that they were heading to a Christmas engagement.
"Four of us were in the car; me, Tall Boss, Badda Bling, and Niney. We were going to the venue early to string up the sound, when all of a sudden mi see a bus in front a we coming with a speed. The bus hit the car head on. It collide driver side to driver side," he recalled.
Badda Bling, who was driving, said he is grateful, given the circumstances.
"Considering the vehicle right off, I'm all right. I thought it would have been a lot worse. The bus driver was coming around the corner with a speed and lost control," he said.
Despite the accident, Di Unit was still able to honour the Pimp 13th Anniversary, as Niney worked the event.
The group, however, missed their gig at Sting on Saturday, but said they will honour all their remaining engagements.
Di Unit was formed in May after splitting from popular Portmore-based sound, Flava Unit.
