Huntley Dixon, head of the Reggae Boyz supporters group One Umbrella Sports and Entertainment says they will be embarking on activities, especially for home games, to lift the atmosphere and spirit of the spectators and players for the final round of Concacaf World Cup Qualifying football.

He said for away matches, they will be organising Jamaican immigrants in the respective countries to offer the team encouragement on their travels, while at home, the group will be providing entertainment before, during and after matches, starting with Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday.

"We realise that a lot of the average persons in Jamaica are not familiar with the players because some are English-based. So instead of just trying to sell football, we want to sell an experience. We want to sell an experience because oftentimes, people buy into the experience more," he pointed out.

Activities are scheduled to kick off inside the National Stadium on Tuesday at 5 p.m, with music from renown selector Boom Boom and the immortal Stone Love sound.

"You can expect customised Reggae Boyz dubplates from Beenie Man, Ky-Mani Marley, Stylo G, Jamal, Pinchers, Eric Donaldson, and many others," Dixon disclosed.

"So we want people to come out and enjoy the party before the win over Trinidad."

ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE

He revelead that there will also be an entertainment package at hal-ftime and an after-party to celebrate an expected victory.

"There will be entertainment at half-time and after the game. So you can party before, between and after the game for about an half a hour," Dixon explained.

"The happier the people, the more they will motivate the team to win and enjoy the game; and the more they will come back to another game, especially the females. We want them to feel like instead of going to just a football game, they are going to a party.

"There will also be a marching band inside the stadium. We will also have free 360-degree photos, where the girls can do free '360 pictures' in their jerseys," he noted.

For the Reggae Boyz's away games, One Umbrella has been organising Jamaicans living in Bermuda, Trinidad and Curacao into one group to offer the Boyz the loudest possible support for these away matches.

AWAY GAMES

"We are not just doing this in Jamaica, we will do it at away games. I have confirmed that it will happen in Bermuda on the fifth, and now I am trying to negotiate for Curacao.

"The Jamaicans in Bermuda helped to form the Jamaican-Bermudan Association and they contacted us from there. So we are definitely going to have a cheer team there," he said.
