Body found in Kingston Harbour

Detectives attached to the City Centre Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a man that was found floating in the Kingston Harbour in downtown, Kingston on Sunday.

It is of dark complexion, medium build and is about 172 centimetres (5 feet 8 inches) long.  It is believed to be in its mid-thirties and was clad in grey underwear.

Reports are that about 5:45 p.m., residents saw the body floating in the water and summoned the Police. On their arrival the body was fished from the harbour and removed to the morgue pending post mortem.

Anyone with information that can assist in ascertaining the identity of the body is being asked to call the City Centre Police at 922-9335, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest Police Station.
