Ting adds flavour to world festival

Jamaica's authentic grapefruit beverage, Ting, will add some local flavour to the annual AFROPUNK events.

AFROPUNK is the most multicultural festival in the US. It has its origins in Brooklyn, New York, but has grown beyond, offering dates in Paris, London, Atlanta, and Johannesburg. AFROPUNK always promises an eclectic line-up and an audience as diverse as the acts they come to see.

"AFROPUNK represents an ideology that we strongly believe in - authenticity and integrity in all that they do - and that is what drew us to be a part of this event. As a Jamaican brand that comes from a country that is 'likkle but tallawah', we saw the perfect synergy with this event that represents the unwritten and unseen," explained Carla Hollingsworth, export marketing manager, Ting.

A series of parties, film screenings, and fashion shows have already been held as a lead-up to the major festival which kicked off in Paris, France lst weekend (July 15 and 16).

Hollingsworth added: "We'll be creating a Jamaican experience at the events, with Ting, offering Ting mocktails and giving away freebies at our Tiki Hut bar that will be the ultimate chill spot for patrons."


AFROPUNK creates an atmosphere for freedom of expression, empowering the masses, defying convention and celebration ofidentity.

Other show dates include London on Saturday and Sunday, Brooklyn on August 26 and 27, Atlanta on October 14 and 15, and Johannesburg on December 30 and 31.
