'Poo-Bear' charged with brutal killing of father and son in Manchester

What began as a midnight gun attack in a Manchester community has now resulted in a 21-year-old construction worker being slapped with multiple charges, including two counts of murder, over the brutal killing of a father and son.

Nicholas Williamson, otherwise called ‘Poo-Bear’, of University Road in Kingston, was arrested and charged in connection with the deaths of 60-year-old Hubert Ferguson and his son, 33-year-old Floyd Ferguson, otherwise called ‘Fido’.

The two men were shot dead at a premises in New Forrest District, Manchester, on June 5.

Reports from the Mandeville police are that about midnight, residents were jolted by explosions coming from the property and alerted the police.

When officers arrived, they found the two men inside a bedroom suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both were rushed to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Post-mortem examinations later confirmed that both men died from gunshot wounds to the head.

Following investigations involving the Manchester Police Division, St Andrew Central Division and the Major Investigation Division, Williamson — who had been wanted in connection with the killings — was arrested on Tuesday, August 11.

He was subsequently interviewed, during which a caution statement was recorded.

Williamson was later charged with two counts of murder, robbery with aggravation, and using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony.

His court date is being finalised.
