Mariah Carey has urged Fergie to ignore the criticism she has received for her rendition of the United States national anthem at the NBA All-Star game on Sunday.
The 42-year-old singer performed the Star-Spangled Banner at Los Angeles' Staples Center over the weekend ahead of the annual exhibition basketball match, and was slammed for the rendition by celebrities and viewers alike.
But fellow singer Mariah who had her fair share of criticism after her New Year's Eve performance in 2016 was slammed when it was plagued by technical difficulties has offered words of wisdom to the former Black Eyed Peas singer.
When asked by TMZ if she had any advice for Fergie, 47-year-old Mariah simply said: "Darling, no one needs to listen to that [criticism]!"
Mariah's comments come after several fans branded the performance as "the worst ever", and many celebrities took to social media to express their confusion at the whole pre-match display.

The 38-year-old reality star who already has Mason, eight, Penelope, five, and three-year-old Reign with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick admitted that she is considering her options to preserve her fertility because thinking now about adding to her family is "too much pressure".
Speaking to her sisters Kim, 37, and Khloe, 33 about her decision on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she said: "I should just do it so I don't have to think, 'Is this what I want, to have kids?' It's like, putting too much pressure."
Kourtney is currently dating 24-year-old model Younes Bendjima, who she was first linked to in 2016, and things are going well between them.
A source said recently: "It's definitely serious.
"No one thought their relationship would last this long, but Kourtney is very happy. Younes has met her kids, Kourtney's family really likes him. He's the opposite of Scott. He doesn't party, isn't flashy and really treats Kourtney with a lot of respect. It's obvious that he really cares about her."
John Legend, wife expecting baby in June
Chrissy Teigen will give birth to her second child in June.
The 32-year-old model revealed in November that she is expecting a son with her husband, John Legend the father of her 22-month-old daughter Luna but now, while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she revealed more information on her due date.
She told the chat show host: "I'm having a baby boy in the spring. I will tell you it's June."
But despite knowing she is having a boy, Chrissy admitted she is struggling to find boy names that she likes.
She said: "Boy names are really tough. And I don't think it will have a middle name because we can't even think of a first name.
"I have been toying with Dick Legend, Richard Legend and everyone is like 'why don't you do the JJ thing John Junior. But John and his ego, he was like 'I just don't want him to feel like he has to live up to that'.
"And I was like 'Wow, you're a jerk'. What a jerk. Oh heaven forbid he does what you do."
