Volunteers work to construct a building at the St. Michael's Basic School in Clark's Town, Trelawny, just a few miles from Duncans. More than 100 students. Chris Davitt and Craig Ruppert partnered with Food For The Poor Inc. (FFP) to build a 14-unit school building. The new school was handed over on February 18.
St. Michael's Basic School is a 31-year-old Early Childhood Institution attached to the St. Michael's and All Angels Church. Situated in the original Church Hall, it had no space of its own. Lacking the necessary infrastructure, the school has been unable to meet the 12 Standards outlined by the Early Childhood Commission - a matter of the utmost importance to staff and parents.
