A woman pulled 14 worms from her eye after being infected with a rare parasite.

Abby Beckley, 28, was working on an Alaskan fishing boat when she discovered the horrifying worms feasting on her eyeballs.

After seeing a specialist, they confirmed she had contracted Thelazia, a parasite typically found on cows, after a fly landed on her eyes when she was travelling through cattle fields in Oregon.

She told BuzzFeed: "I put my fingers in there in kind of a picking motion and I looked at my finger and it was moving and I was shocked."

The individual worms pulled from Beckley's eye were less than half-an-inch long and all 14 were removed over a 20-day period - but luckily didn't cause any permanent damage.

A man drove 300 miles to get his hands on 50 bottles of cheap cider.

Police were called to a swingers club after concerned neighbours thought a child had entered the building - but it turned out to be a very short woman.

A concerned local called cops after seeing the individual enter the building, which has a "fully equipped dungeon" along with a mistress and pole dancing facilities, after witnessing what she thought was someone underage enter CLubF in Stanley, County Durham, in North East England, but the police were left red-faced after the blunder.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: "Police were called at following concerns a child had entered a hotel named ClubF on High Street, Stanley. Officers spoke to the staff at the hotel who confirmed the female was one of their customers who was an adult woman."

Authorities were called after a man was held captive with an alligator on his back.

Isaias Garcia, 30, kept a 21-year-old prisoner in his bathtub in Garland, Texas, with the 3ft creature, in an attempt to demand a $800 ransom in exchange for his release.

On a phone call to his aunt, the man said: "They got this alligator on me, and they saying that if no money is given they are gonna have him chewing on me."

When the woman demanded proof that her nephew was unharmed, the kidnapper allegedly texted her a photo of her nephew in the terrifying circumstance.

Cops were called and Isaias was charged with first-degree kidnapping.

The alligator wasn't harmed and picked up by the state's Department of Environmental Protection.
