Jonnah has high hopes for new single

January 20, 2016

Magnum King and Queens of Dancehall finalist Jonnah has made a positive start to 2016. This, as his new single, 'Temporary Friend', is already receiving strong rotation on local radio.

The song, which tackles themes of betrayal and deceit, is expected to be a strong follow-up to Jonnah's One T-shirt, which also received favourable attention last year.

"People can relate to the message in this song because everyone experiences having hypocritical friends. I am pleased with the response thus far and it gives me great pleasure to provide music for the people which are appreciated by them," he said.

One T-Shirt, which featured a Vybz Kartel sample, racked up thousands of views online. However, the artiste hopes Temporary Friend will exceed that accomplishment.

"My lyrics are inspired by my day-to-day activities and experiences, so writing is something that comes naturally for me. However, I want every time I release a song for it to perform better than my previous effort, so I am looking forward to reaching an even higher level with this song. This year, I am looking to push out some great music, and success is a must. My life is a drama, filled with a lot of ups and downs and music is my only escape route, so I can't afford to fail," he said.

The artiste is expected to embark on a promotional tour of the Caribbean in the coming months. For bookings, persons are advised to contact his management team All Connect Records at 1 (516) 943-3969 or 1-876-560-7113.
