Nature's Way releasing King Mas album
United States-based label Nature's Way Entertainment is gearing up to release Rasta Evolution, the sophomore album from reggae artiste King Mas.
Rasta Evolution features 18 tracks, two of which are collaborations that feature singer Jemere Morgan and African entertainer AntoNeoSoul.
According to Garfield Cowan, CEO of Nature's Way Entertainment, the album has been in the making for the past three years.
"Rasta Evolution is a project that we have been working on for the past three years on and off. We had a few obstacles along the way, but we continued to push because we believe in this album and the movement of positive, conscious music," Cowan said.
Among the producers who contributed to the project are Cowan and his wife, Sanya; O. Sitawi; Damian Ebanks; M. Prospere; Ray Keys; and Kenya-based Mega Records.
Musicians who worked on the album included Earl 'Chinna' Smith, Dean Fraser, Unga Barunga, and Riff Raff.
Cowan added: "I am proud to be a part of the Rasta Evolution album, and it's been a journey, but it was worth it. It is going to be a one-of-a-kind positive move in reggae music. King Mas definitely has a message and a sound, and we just want the whole world to give it a listen."
Born Glenford Prospere, King Mas is the product of a Jamaican mother. His father is one-time Montserrat Calypso Monarch Supreme.
The first single from Rasta Evolution is titled Ocean of Emotion. A video to accompany the song is to be released shortly.
